Saurashtra scorches in heat wave, Kandla blazes at 46.8°C

There was little respite from the blazing heat wave conditions across Gujarat as temperatures remained over 42 degrees Celsius in 16 towns and cities.
The highest temperature recorded was at Kandla airport where the mercury touched 46.8 degrees on Sunday.
Severe heatwave conditions prevailed across Saurashtra with Rajkot scorching at 44 degrees, Surendranagar at 44.7 degrees and Amreli clocking 44.6 degrees.
