Sand fire cause under investigation

Although the Sand fire is “far from over,” a coalition of investigators has launched a search for the cause of the largest fire in the county so far this year, Fire Department Battalion Chief Marc Peebles said Tuesday.
As of late Tuesday afternoon, there was no indication of the cause of the fire that broke out Friday afternoon on the south side of Highway 14 near Sand Canyon Road, Peebles said
