Cyclone Chapala Lashes Socotra with Flooding, Damaging Winds

One person is dead and at least nine have been injured after Chapala, a strong tropical cyclone in the Arabian Sea, sideswiped the Yemeni island of Socotra Sunday. The Associated Press said that in addition to the casualties, Chapala has caused flooding from torrential rain and storm surge. Strong winds have also caused power outages on the island.
